I am a disabled mom with a background as a film and television editor, which has instilled a strong sense of story structure and pacing. While my lyrical meter is timeless, my sensibilities are contemporary, focusing on the issues most relevant to today's children and their readers. I want my voice to contribute to a landscape of tolerance, acceptance, and allyship with the BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities.
